Wasbar Mighty Mite Poultry Leg Spray is an easy to use and effective way to control mites that cause scaly leg on chickens. Scaly leg is crusty, concrete-like deposits on chicken’s legs, caused by a mite burrowing under the skin and scales around legs and feet causing them to become raised and thickened.
It’s unsightly, irritating and can be painful for the affected chicken and if untreated will spread to the rest of the flock. The active ingredients are neem oil, argan oil and essential oils of cedarwood, rosemary, lemongrass and kanuka. Mighty Mite works in two ways - using the product to coat the birds leg ‘suffocates’ the mites and the active oils are known to repel insects including mites, additionally the neem oil is a natural biocide.
- Wet your dog thoroughly down to the skin with warm water.
- Pour a little shampoo onto their coat and massage in to work up a good lather all over.
- Add more shampoo as you need it, depending on size of dog.
- Give the dog a really good massage, this is meant to be enjoyable.
- Rinse coat thoroughly.
- Dry the dog with a fresh towel.
