Essential Oils

Head / Mental Tension: To aid natural recovery from head or mental tension, rub 1-2 drops to the temples, away from eyes, and back of the neck as soon as possible. This oil is also recommended for hangover headaches.

Travel Queasiness: When travelling, rub 1-2 drops directly onto the solar plexus to maintain natural balance and counter queasy feelings. Or add 1 drop to your tongue, repeat as required.

Congestion Free: Support healthy breathing and help clear congestion by adding 2-5 drops of Peppermint to a steam inhalation and breathing deeply. Repeat every two hours or as required.

Back Tension: To assist natural recovery and help manage tension, add 3-5 drops directly to affected area. Repeat as required.

Immunity: Burn 3-5 drops in a diffuser with other antiseptic essential oils such as Lemon and Thyme to create an environmental disinfectant against colds, flu, and viral infections.

Muscular Tension: Oregano has a warming action that can be utilised in the treatment of muscular discomfort and stiffness. Add 5 drops to 10mls massage base and apply to affected area only. (Not suitable for neat application).

Nerve Tonic: Energises a tired mind and revives the senses, giving a feeling of well-being. Blend 2-3 drops with other uplifting essential oils for bath or diffuser.

Diffusion: 10 drops, allow 10 minutes, replenish as required. 

Bath: 10 drops mixed in water. 

Massage: 10 drops to 1 teaspoon of Absolute Massage Oil (unscented). 

Compress: Add 5 drops to hot-wet cloth, place over small of back for pain relief or hormone balancing. Or add 5 drops to hot-dry cloth place over small of back, support with hot water bottle and leave as long as possible while resting.

Muscle Tone: Acts to help release tight and tense muscle groups. Mix 5 drops with massage cream or Olive oil and rub vigorously onto the area concerned. Use as required.

Sinuses: To support a healthy upper respiratory system and help clear congestion, add 5 drops to a steam inhalation and breathe deeply for 10 minutes.

Chest & Respiration: To support a healthy respiratory system free from congestion of the throat and chest, add 10 drops to 1/4 teaspoon of massage cream or carrier oil and apply three times a day around the throat and onto the chest and back. Especially beneficial at night time.

Breathing Easy: To support a healthy respiratory system in response to irritation in the throat and lungs add 10 drops to 1/4 teaspoon of massage cream or carrier oil and apply three times a day around the throat and onto the chest and back or add 10 drops to steam inhalation or a diffuser. Use as required.

Sinuses: Add 5-10 drops to a steam inhalation and breathe deeply for 5 minutes to support normal respiration. Eucalyptus has antiseptic properties, as well as a deep penetrating aroma, to help clear the respiratory tract and promote easy breathing.

Respiration: To help clear congestion of the throat and chest, add 20 drops to 1/4 teaspoon of massage cream or carrier oil and apply three times a day around the throat, back and chest. Especially beneficial at night-time to encourage sleep without coughing.

Fabric Softener: Add 5 drops of Eucalyptus oil to your wool hand wash and your jumpers will come out soft and smelling fresh. Or add 10 drops to the rinse cycle in your washing machine and all your clothes will feel softer. Use as required.

Muscle Tonic: Mix 5-20 drops with a little massage cream or Olive oil and rub vigorously onto the area concerned. Acts on tight and tense muscles. Use as required.

Alertness: The vital, clear tones can be used as a wake up to tired senses. Diffuse into your space to create an environment conducive to clear, effective thinking. You can also rub on pulse points or infuse a tissue to promote the same energy shift. Particularly beneficial as a driving companion.

Digestion: This oil supports the healthy production of bile, essential for efficient digestion of fatty food. It can be diffused into a room at mealtime or incorporated into the cooking of fatty foods.

Muscles: Rosemary is an excellent tonic to follow vigorous exercise. It can be used to create a therapeutic bath or diluted for massage.

Skin Tone: To support effective recovery of skin tone following weight loss or pregnancy, add 5 drops to 5ml Grapeseed oil. Apply daily. The scent may be enhanced by blending with Cypress, Geranium, Orange Sweet or Cedarwood Atlas.

Healthy Fragrant Feet: Add 4-5 drops to a teaspoon of talcum powder, mix, and place in your socks. This will help guard against infection and perfume the feet. Add 5 drops of Peppermint to further enhance the effect and scent.

Gardeners Hands & Cracked Heels: This is a wonderful oil for softening gardeners’ hands and soothing bare feet in dry summer conditions. Add 3-5 drops to half a teaspoon of moisturising cream and massage into affected areas. Repeat daily for great results.

Confidence: To support natural balance and confidence, and to promote harmony, add 5 drops to the bath once a week and 3 drops to the diffuser every other day. Blend with Lime for greater effect.

Cuts & Wounds: To support natural healing, add 3 drops of Myrrh and 5 drops of Lavender True to water and wash affected area. Repeat twice a day.

Mouth Care: To aid natural healing from mouth ulcers, apply 1 drop of Myrrh direct to the gum. Repeat twice a day for 5 days.

Skin Care: For healthy, soft, revitalised skin after sun exposure, add 10 drops to 50gms of night cream or oil and apply to the face prior to bedtime.

Calm: The musky scent of Myrrh promotes an atmosphere of calm and composure. Add 3-5 drops to a diffuser in your bedroom or during meditation and relaxation time. Repeat as required.

Skin Health: Add 5-10 drops to a bath to support healthy skin and natural recovery from irritation and itchiness. Repeat twice a week or as required.

Womens Health: Supports natural immunity and healthy acid/alkaline balance in the vagina, thus encouraging healthy yeast balance. Simply add 5 drops of Manuka to the bath or 2 drops to a douche. Repeat daily as required.

Congestion: To promote healthy breathing and help clear chests and heads add 5 drops to 5 drops each of Lavender Spike and Eucalyptus. Use via steam inhalation or dilute in 1ml Sweet Almond oil and rub over the chest and back. Repeat as required.

Skin Care: As a gentle cleanser and to help reduce dry and scaly skin, add 5 drops to your face and body wash. Apply daily as required.

Air Antiseptic: Add 5 drops daily to an aroma stone or aroma light to create healthy air balance to a sick room or office. This also offers support to the immune function. 

Immune System: Lemon oil may be used to support healthy immune function when unwell. Have 5-10 drops diffusing continuously in the home or at the office.

Feet Treat: Rejuvenate tired feet after work by adding 5 drops of Lemon oil and cup of Epsom salts to a foot bath. This method also supports the bodys natural lymphatic drainage processes. Repeat as required.

Circulation: To support healthy circulation and thus help protect against varicose veins, mix 50 drops of Lemon with 10mls of Sweet Almond oil and apply to the affected area daily.

Ant & Fly Repellent: To repel annoying flies and ants add 3-5 drops to a dishcloth and wipe down surfaces. Alternatively, drop some oil in the ants path to discourage their progress. Repeat as required.

Deodoriser and Insect repellent: It has a pleasant, refreshing scent and antiseptic qualities that, when diffused, effectively cleanse the air and deter airborne insects. 

Fluid Balance: With fluid balancing support, Lemongrass can be used to help balance fluid accumulation caused by long periods of standing. 5 drops to a foot bath has an added deodorising effect.

Sports Massage: Lemongrass is a great refreshing scent to be added to a massage blend, especially for sports massage as it offers a balancing and cleansing effect. Add 5 drops per massage.

Body Temperature Balance: To support even temperature and help restore natural balance in a heated body, add 5-10 drops of Lemongrass to a tepid bath, or to Sweet Almond oil and rub all over the body, as required. Always consult a health specialist to rule out complications.

Skin Healing: To assist the skins natural healing and regeneration processes, especially when blistered or scalded, apply 2-5 drops directly to the area. Lavender True is very calming and may help to ease tender nerves. Begin immediately and repeat hourly.

Sleep & Calm: Luxuriate in a calm, balanced atmosphere that promotes relaxation, and helps to counter restlessness and sleeplessness. Add 10 drops to your bath or diffuser. Repeat as required. Use half dose for children.

Shock: When experiencing shock or injury, bring the bottle of Lavender True to the nose and inhale deeply or add a few drops to pulse points. This will promote calm and balance and supports the bodys natural healing and restorative processes.

Bruising: To aid healing when skin is bruised, apply 1-2 drops directly to the area, prior to discolouration if possible. Repeat for several days. This oil can also be blended 50/50 with Geranium as a first aid preparation for all knocks and bruises.

Coughs: Lavender Spike is reported to have stabilising, relaxing properties and has a general calming effect that may be useful against chest irritations. Add 5 drops to inhalation or into a carrier oil for a chest rub. Blends well with other respiratory essential oils.

Sinus in Babies: Add a few drops on collar or pillow for inhalation, or into a suitable carrier for a chest rub.

Respiratory Problems: Lavender Spike has a gentle penetrating aroma that encourages deep healthy breathing. It offers cleansing and expectorant properties to support natural recovery from respiratory illness. Ideal for young children and the elderly.

Body Repair: With a general calming, restorative effect, Lavender Spike is a useful addition to massage blends for treating tense body conditions and injury.

Carrier Oil: This oil is a wonderful carrier oil when creating facial aromatherapy blends for skin care purposes. Exceptional quality and certified organic, it offers optimum therapeutic benefit. Jojoba oil acts as a liquid wax and has excellent moisturising and protective effects when massaged into the skin. It is high in unsaturated fatty acids that replicate the skins natural oil levels.

Moisturises: Skin is noticeably softened following the application of this moisturising oil. It may also be used to support the skins natural processes for cleansing of clogged pores. Add 5-10 drops to a cotton bud and rub over the face at night.

Damaged Hair: Restore softness and shine to brittle and dry hair which may have been damaged by sun, colouring or perming. Apply 2 to 5ml directly to the hair and scalp. Leave overnight if possible, rinse in the morning.

Thinning Hair: This oil may also be used to support strong, healthy hair. The action of 5mls of Jojoba massaged in, may be further fortified with 2-3 drops of Laurel Bay and Rosemary Cineol essential oils.

Uplifting: Dab onto the pulse points for a sweet fragrance that supports a relaxed mind and body and enhances mood. Use 10 drops with 1 drop Patchouli or Lime for a subtle variation.

Confidence Booster: Jasmine aids natural relaxation to help counter uneasiness and tension and to help gently lift the spirit. Wear as a perfume by applying to the pulse points.

Perfume: Simple and pure, Jasmine makes an uncomplicated, alluring perfume.

Skin Care: To enhance skin hydration, massage in gently with fingertips for daily facial care.
