Essential Oils

Diffusion: 2-5 drops, allow 10 minutes, replenish as required.

Simply: Apply on pulse points.

Add: 4-8 drops of Tranquil Sleep Pure Blend to your vaporiser or diffuser and use in the bedroom. 

Add: 4-8 drops of Stress Less Pure Blend to your vaporiser or diffuser and use in the evening to help you relax and unwind. 

Essential oils are highly concentrated liquids and in most cases should not be applied direct to the skin. The exceptions are lavender, tea tree, nz manuka, and chamomile and even then only use a small amount and not on a continual basis. Oils may be used undiluted under the guidance of a healthcare professional only.  

Simply: After practice, spray yoga mat and wipe down with a damp cloth. Leave to air dry.

Skin Tone: To support effective recovery of skin tone following weight loss or pregnancy, add 5 drops to 5ml Grapeseed oil. Apply daily. The scent may be enhanced by blending with Cypress, Geranium, Orange Sweet or Cedarwood Atlas.

Healthy Fragrant Feet: Add 4-5 drops to a teaspoon of talcum powder, mix, and place in your socks. This will help guard against infection and perfume the feet. Add 5 drops of Peppermint to further enhance the effect and scent.

Gardeners Hands & Cracked Heels: This is a wonderful oil for softening gardeners’ hands and soothing bare feet in dry summer conditions. Add 3-5 drops to half a teaspoon of moisturising cream and massage into affected areas. Repeat daily for great results.

Confidence: To support natural balance and confidence, and to promote harmony, add 5 drops to the bath once a week and 3 drops to the diffuser every other day. Blend with Lime for greater effect.

Skin Health: Add 5-10 drops to a bath to support healthy skin and natural recovery from irritation and itchiness. Repeat twice a week or as required.

Womens Health: Supports natural immunity and healthy acid/alkaline balance in the vagina, thus encouraging healthy yeast balance. Simply add 5 drops of Manuka to the bath or 2 drops to a douche. Repeat daily as required.

Congestion: To promote healthy breathing and help clear chests and heads add 5 drops to 5 drops each of Lavender Spike and Eucalyptus. Use via steam inhalation or dilute in 1ml Sweet Almond oil and rub over the chest and back. Repeat as required.

Skin Care: As a gentle cleanser and to help reduce dry and scaly skin, add 5 drops to your face and body wash. Apply daily as required.

Air Antiseptic: Add 5 drops daily to an aroma stone or aroma light to create healthy air balance to a sick room or office. This also offers support to the immune function.

Deodoriser and Insect repellent: It has a pleasant, refreshing scent and antiseptic qualities that, when diffused, effectively cleanse the air and deter airborne insects. 

Fluid Balance: With fluid balancing support, Lemongrass can be used to help balance fluid accumulation caused by long periods of standing. 5 drops to a foot bath has an added deodorising effect.

Sports Massage: Lemongrass is a great refreshing scent to be added to a massage blend, especially for sports massage as it offers a balancing and cleansing effect. Add 5 drops per massage.

Body Temperature Balance: To support even temperature and help restore natural balance in a heated body, add 5-10 drops of Lemongrass to a tepid bath, or to Sweet Almond oil and rub all over the body, as required. Always consult a health specialist to rule out complications.

Coughs: Lavender Spike is reported to have stabilising, relaxing properties and has a general calming effect that may be useful against chest irritations. Add 5 drops to inhalation or into a carrier oil for a chest rub. Blends well with other respiratory essential oils.

Sinus in Babies: Add a few drops on collar or pillow for inhalation, or into a suitable carrier for a chest rub.

Respiratory Problems: Lavender Spike has a gentle penetrating aroma that encourages deep healthy breathing. It offers cleansing and expectorant properties to support natural recovery from respiratory illness. Ideal for young children and the elderly.

Body Repair: With a general calming, restorative effect, Lavender Spike is a useful addition to massage blends for treating tense body conditions and injury.

Carrier Oil: This oil is a wonderful carrier oil when creating facial aromatherapy blends for skin care purposes. Exceptional quality and certified organic, it offers optimum therapeutic benefit. Jojoba oil acts as a liquid wax and has excellent moisturising and protective effects when massaged into the skin. It is high in unsaturated fatty acids that replicate the skins natural oil levels.

Moisturises: Skin is noticeably softened following the application of this moisturising oil. It may also be used to support the skins natural processes for cleansing of clogged pores. Add 5-10 drops to a cotton bud and rub over the face at night.

Damaged Hair: Restore softness and shine to brittle and dry hair which may have been damaged by sun, colouring or perming. Apply 2 to 5ml directly to the hair and scalp. Leave overnight if possible, rinse in the morning.

Thinning Hair: This oil may also be used to support strong, healthy hair. The action of 5mls of Jojoba massaged in, may be further fortified with 2-3 drops of Laurel Bay and Rosemary Cineol essential oils.

Diffusion: 10 drops, allow 10 minutes, replenish as required.

Uplifting: Grapefruit scent is light and clean and helps to stimulate a lift in the senses. Add a few drops to your diffuser in the morning to embrace the day with fresh, bright energy.

Circulation and Cellulite: Grapefruit has stimulant and antioxidant properties that contribute to a healthy skin dynamic. Add 5 drops of Grapefruit oil to a wet face cloth and rub vigorously on the areas concerned. Repeat daily after a shower for 3-4 weeks.

Fluid: To help stimulate a healthy fluid balance add 10 drops to a foot bath with Epsom salts. Repeat for 3 nights.

Lymphatic System: A professional massage practitioner can assist lymphatic drainage with the cleansing, stimulating qualities of Grapefruit. Add up to 30 drops to Grapeseed oil and apply where the lymph nodes accumulate. Follow with rest and plenty of water to give the body a good flush.

Lips: Geranium is reported to have antiseptic properties that support its use on lip breakouts. Place 1 drop directly on the area when the tingling sensation occurs. Repeat 3-4 times a day for 2-3 days.

Skin Care: With nourishing and cleansing properties, this oil can be used as an excellent tonic for healthy skin, particularly during adolescence or during times of stress. It can also be dabbed directly on spots. 1-2 drops of Geranium added to your daily moisturiser will aid natural balance and rejuvenation.

Menstrual Phases: To help support normal balance in pre-menstrual phases and to encourage a relaxed state of body and mind: add 7-10 drops of Geranium oil to the bath, or on a compress for the small of the back, before bedtime a few days before you expect menstruation. Repeat monthly as required.

Bruising: To support effective natural healing when skin is bruised, apply 1-2 drops directly to the affected area - prior to discolouration if possible. Repeat for several days. This oil can also be blended 50/50 with Lavender True for the same purpose.

Diffusion: 10 drops, allow 10 minutes, replenish as required. 

Positive Outlook: Add 3-5 drops to a diffuser or to a bath to infuse a luxurious scent that nourishes the senses and allows fresh creativity and optimism to surface.

Sexual Desire: Ylang Ylang is a renowned aphrodisiac for men and women. Add 5 drops to a diffuser, the bath or massage oil. It is important to use the recommended amount for this purpose. A few drops can stimulate and enhance sexual desire, however too much will promote relaxation and sleep.

Heart: To support normal heart functions, blend 2 drops of Ylang Ylang into 1 ml of Sweet Almond oil and massage over the heart region before bed. (Always check with a healthcare specialist. When necessary, therapeutic oils may be used safely with prescribed medicine.)

Calm: Add 3-5 drops to a diffuser or to a bath to bring the body and mind together in quiet relaxation.

To evoke comfort: Vanilla has a warm, sweet scent that can be used to help soften tense emotions. Add 5 drops to a diffuser or mix in bath water and feel the senses relax.

Sleep & Breathing Aid: Enhances childrens sleep time by helping them relax and supporting healthy restorative breathing. 

Relaxation: May be used by everyone in the family to enjoy a relaxing bath before bed.

Nightmares: A fearful, active mind can create dark, overwhelming dreams. Twinkle star fosters calmness and relaxation, which encourages a gentle, restorative dream process. It also supports free breathing to help avoid the fearful dreaming and waking caused by stifled breath.

Suitable to add to the bath, for diffusion, for drops on a pillow, or with massage cream for a loving caress that will help to ease fear, use as directed.
