L-Glutamine is an amino acid that has many functions in the body and plays an important role in maintaining intestinal health. L-Glutamine plays a role within the cells of the small intestine, supporting  the health of tight junctions to maintain healthy gut permeability. L-Glutamine is used as a fuel source for the intestinal cells and is also involved in the natural repair process for these cells as part of normal, healthy function. When the body is under stress, adequate dietary glutamine is important.

PreticX’s XOS (Xylo-oligosaccharide) is a plant derived prebiotic fibre with research showing that it helps support healthy numbers of probiotic bifidobacteria in the large intestine. As well as this, XOS assists the healthy production of propionate and butyric short-chain fatty acids, which are essential for a healthy and comfortable bowel lining. As a fibre XOS supports normal bowel regularity and bile flow, which help support the maintenance of  healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
